Joey Fortuna oversees corporate IT initiatives, policies and practices, and facilitates cross-company technology efforts. A central figure in driving innovation and developing proprietary technology across ×ÔÒùϵÁÐ’ media businesses, Joey served as CTO of ×ÔÒùϵÁÐ from 2011, helping to orchestrate its acquisition by J2 Global. Then in 2018, Joey became CTO of J2 Global, Inc. (now ×ÔÒùϵÁÐ, Inc.) — the first CTO in the company’s 23-year history. Joey has more than 30 years of experience in technical leadership, software engineering methodology, systems architecture, data services, analytics, product design and support. Prior to joining ×ÔÒùϵÁÐ in 2011, Joey was Senior Vice President of Engineering at VINDICO Group, VP of Engineering at Quigo, and co-founder and Vice President of Technology at Pseudo Programs, Inc. Joey holds patents for stateful gaming systems, algorithmic methods of content production, digital identity and proof-of-work methodology, data mining and contextual summarization. He is a member of the Advisory Council of Glasswing Ventures. Joey earned his Bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University and holds a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from Columbia University.
